Advantage Physical Therapy, LLC was a fully independent, privately owned outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapy practice. We were the first and only facility, staff and equipment in our 7-county region specializing in, and entirely dedicated to: Orthopedic, Sports, Work Comp and Hand Physical Therapy. Our facility was designed to function as closely as possible to a true Professional Sports Medicine Training Room within the Insurance / Orthopedic Healthcare environment.

We are entirely family owned and operated by Tark and Cindy Chester and are fully independent. We do not have any financial or ownership association with, or any medical direction whatsoever from, any Physicians, Surgeons, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Chiropractors, Hospitals, rehab type corporate entities, etc.
Therefore, as independent patient advocates, we represent only the best interests of our patients. Because no patients are referred to us from any associated persons, facilities, or other organizations, this eliminates any potential financial conflict of interest in our care of patients.
Our practice started in November 2005 and we have now been in business and serving our regional communities for nearly 15 years.
Who we are
Tark and Cindy are both from Fayette County. They are graduates of our local Miami Trace High School. Cindy was born and raised in Fayette County in a local grain farm and cattle family. Tark grew up in Fayette County since first grade and also came from a local farm, cattle and quarter horse family. They have four adult children - Courtney, Jared, Katelyn, Austin - and four grandchildren in Ohio and Indiana.
We enjoy our children, grandchildren, bicycle riding, working on our home, and livestock / 4-H activities with our family.

WHAT TYPES OF PATIENTS DO WE TREAT...
We treated only Orthopedic, Sports, Work Comp and Hand Physical Therapy patients:
- Shoulder

- Foot & Ankle
- Wrist, Hand & Elbow
- Hip & Thigh
- Upper Arm & Forearm
- Upper Leg & Lower Leg
- Low Back / Lumbar-Sacral Spine
- Sacro-Iliac / S-I joint
- Neck / Cervical Spine
HOW DO WE PROVIDE YOUR CARE...
All treatments were provided only by a Licensed Physical Therapist:
- No PT Assistants's, no non-licensed Aides / Techs, and
no Athletic Trainers provided any treatments or exercises
in our clinic.
- Physical Therapists have 6-7 years training with State
Licensure
- PT Assistants have 2 years training with State Licensure
and are limited as to certain types of treatment
interventions which may be provided to some patients
- Our non-licensed Support Staff did not provide any patient
treatments or exercises whatsoever. They were utilized
purely in a non-patient-care support role, as intended and
outlined in our State of Ohio PT Licensure Rules &
Regulations.
- Patients saw the same Licensed Physical Therapist for
each and every one of their visits from Initial Evaluation
through Discharge. (You were not seen by multiple PT's
or PTA's during your visits)
OTHER IMPORTANT PATIENT CARE INFORMATION...
- Only Physical Therapy Eval and Treat referrals were
accepted.
- We practiced helpful and informative patient education
on a daily basis with each of our patients.
- Our emphasis was on utilizing gentle, gradual, progressive,
therapeutic exercise programs specifically customized to
meet each patient's unique rehabilitation needs.
- We used a non-aggressive, non-forceful treatment
and exercise approach, with a high priority on
PATIENT SAFETY and MINIMIZING your PAIN &
DISCOMFORT
Tark Chester - PT, ATC, AT
Tark is a Certified Athletic Trainer, a Licensed Athletic Trainer, and an Orthopedic specialized Physical Therapist.
He started locally at Miami Trace High School as a
freshman Student Athletic Trainer and has a total of 47 years Sports Medicine experience.
Tark's background encompasses high school, major college and professional sports experience, including working as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Philadelphia Eagles Professional Football Team.
